food was amazing! service was a bit odd, servers only came around to take our order and seemed upset when we asked for water refills, they also never brought out a drink we had purchased. prices on menu do not always match the amount charged. otherwise, atmosphere was great and i loved the way the restaurant was decorated.

A while back, I saw a video of a grip of gen z Fil-Ams talking about how this was their go to spot for Filipino foods. A lot of them said they fux with the sinigang. Color me confused because I had never heard of her. What rock have I been living under that I’d never heard of this place? So, early one Saturday, I pulled up with my sister from another mister to get our breakfast on. First of all, tell me why they’re basically down the street from me. They’ve been around as long as I’ve been alive and not once had I been. Truly a shock considering my commitment with never making food at home. I stay eating outside. There was only one other group of diners while we were there. A family of 4 who were seated in the back room. We ended up being seated in the area facing Fountain. My first comment was how I felt like I was at my Lola’s house because the decor was giving Lola vibes, in the best way. I felt like I was home. My friend got the laing meal and I got the tocino. We also got a side order of the sweet & spicy longanisa. Broooooooooooooo That food was wow. I’m gonna say it again - it tasted like home. Down to the fixins on the table like vinegar and suchas. I appreciated all the l

LA Rose was a great experience to try Filipino food. The food was flavorful, but not as amazing as other reviews suggested. The food service was slow but the very friendly staff made up for it. Would go again to try more dishes. They unfortunately do not have their own parking lot, so will need to find street parking as the Wendy’s apparently threatens to tow.

Everytime I visit LA, it's become my non-negotiable that I HAVE to go to LA Rose Cafe. Quite literally the feeling of having a meal at your Lola's place. Catch me reminiscing like Anton from Ratatouille everytime I take a bite out of that tocilog. The first time I came here, someone sat down and started playing classic OPM ballads on the piano and it was like I was in a teleserye. Aside from the atmosphere alone though, the servers are also very attentive. And the food is top-notch. Amazing lechon kawali, lumpia, empanadas, you name it. I always make sure to order some calamansi or buko juice as well. Overall, a must go when in LA!

Seriously tasty, authentic Filipino food. I live on the east coast where we really don’t have many Filipino options, if it all, so I always make sure to stop by LA Rose Cafe when I’m in LA and every time it’s a guaranteed treat. The staff is incredibly friendly as well! You feel like family while dining here.
